Bachelor Bayne

HM! Has a nice ring to it, don'tcha think? Aiight, it's nearing the close of the month. As promised, I unceremoniously "closed" my eHarmony account. I re-read all my posts about dating. I chuckled at my entries that some are filled with hopefulness, others frustration, even a few laced with anger. I list the reasons why I'm not date worthy, or boyfriend / husband material, ad nauseam. So I thought, why don't I list the reasons why I am date worthy, or boyfriend / husband material? I pause for the cause... .... Yeah, I couldn't think of a reason, either. Someone please pass me a rum and Coke? I'm parched. This has been your C Note. 'los; out

Competitive Carlos - America's Keystone

So this happened yesterday at the Issaquah Subway… A co-worker and I were having lunch on nom-nom quality sando love, right? Well, Ron asked me what I was doing on the weekend. It seems I’m always up to something. I go on to explain that I am issuing the awards that I created and bought for my birthday weekend Superhero Scavenger Hunt. He asked what kinda of awards, and I launched into this rhetoric. I announce: “I wanted to make the winners feel special, but also acknowledge the efforts of the participants. After all, they did put forth an effort to 1) get dressed up 2) motor down to Fremont 3) run around taking pictures 4) and partied with me while in costume. C’mon, I’ve gotta do something special.” Ron replies: “Nowadays, at public schools they only issue participation ribbons for events like Field Day. No more 1 st to 3 rd place.” I fired back: “WHAT? That’s horseshit. What happened to the days of 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd place podium finish? We’re celebrating med...

Throwback, Thankful Thursday

On this Throwback Thankful Thursday... this just happened. The first half of my day in the office was BRUTAL. As in, it was the equivalent of rubbing one out with a cheese grater; slightly amusing but mostly painful! The second half? Like a Seahawks regular season game. After some half-time adjustment, mostly an attitude adjustment and grub, I won the day. Focused on positive events, kept digging, and before I know it the work day is done. As I was rolling down WA-900, I encountered the following. A disable vehicle about 200 feet east from the light at the corner of WA-900, and 164th Ave SE. The grandmother, mother, and an infant on the side of the road. The husband desperately trying to figure out to locate the clutch release. And the thought of me having a bad day blew away like a fart in the wind! So I parked, and walked up to offer assistance. Another vehicle with three guys also pulled over. I introduced myself to the occupants of the disabled vehicle, and to the newcome...

Where Is The Love - Happy Valentine's Day

Ah, yes. Today is the time-honored, Hallmark holiday of Valentine's Day. St. Valentine's Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early  Christian  saints named  Valentinus . Several martyrdom stories were invented for the various Valentines that belonged to February 14, and added to later  martyrologies . [2]  A popular hagiographical account of Saint Valentine of Rome states that he was imprisoned for performing  weddings  for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were  persecuted under the Roman Empire . According to  legend , during his imprisonment, he healed the daughter of his jailer, Asterius. An embellishment to this story states that before his execution he wrote her a letter signed "Your Valentine" as a farewell. [3]   That's according to Wikipedia. If I was more vested in it, I'd do more due diligence on fact gathering but frankly... don't care to. I've often thought how...

Musings of a Madman

Gonna catch for hell for this posts, amongst the others too, but here goes... The other day I was interacting with other passengers on Spaceship as I do any other day. I thought that raced through my mind when I received more props on my comedic, energetic personality - Why not one night? Yes, yes. I realize those are called one-night stands. That's not what I'm eluding to. And no, not a "hall pass" either. What I'm proposing is one night with someone that you have a true connection with. "Shakin' The Wheels" by Chase Rice Baby, I’ve seen the look in your eye You try to cover it up, there ain’t no disguise to hide What’s goin’ on right here So come on girl, what do you say? We head for 11 south in my Chevrolet Hop in the back, it ain’t no crime If I get to know all of your tan lines [chorus] Yea, you and me, backseat on a bad road Wastin’ no time, foggin’ up the windows I never thought I’d see 71 to feel this...

Musings of a Madman

HM! When you live on your own, I didn't realize just how much time to think. It's quite refreshing thus far. My mind is quieter therefore able to make more observations to draw conclusions. For example, you ask? First and foremost, I am compelled to give a monster shout out to my friend, Bro [Cheyanna Flower] It was her suggestion to review Fairwood Landing Apartments. This was honestly not on my radar! Sure enough it worked out though. It's relatively quiet, like my mind. I have a noisy upstairs neighbor from my ground level crib. I suspect he's a bachelor too, that has a heavy step. Otherwise, the view of the guest parking lot to the green belt and retention pond is strangely nice. 'cept for this crazed rooster that coos at incorrect times of day. WTF? Regardless, I'm adjusting to my new area. Not gonna lie, I'm liking it. Renton drivers are very interesting in stark comparison to Issaquah drivers. For example? Lack of Priuses and large SUVs driven...

Custodian Carlos & Buddy Brian

My brain hurts >.< It hurts from the sheer volume of information that it absorbed and attempting to process. Honestly, it's my fault. Here's why. I woke at 6am this morning on my day off. Why, you ask? Because my mind was on fire with the amount of photographic items I was inspired to attend to. I was so engrossed with it, that a text reminder was received reminding me I had a haircut appointment with my buddy Brian. After my buzz, we grabbed brunch for grub. Our convo landed on online dating that was occasionally interrupted by the hottie Hannah, the server, that was mildly distracting to me. We agreed that same sex and opposite sex dating online has no real differences in the dynamics at play. First you meet, then you try to learn or discover the other to the point of a decision - do we have that first date or not. Then you do, and you must decide if a second or third date is warranted. I shared with him that the woman I had been seeing, who I'll refer to a...
